Santorini is special to me for so many reasons. It’s a place of extreme beauty and calmness and the memories I have of my time there are memories I will hold precious for the rest of my life. While in Santorini, I was presented with the opportunity for me to impulsively photograph a wedding of two people I have never met before. On a windy rooftop, as the sun was going down I stumbled upon this wedding ceremony and it occurred to me that this couple were getting married in one of the most beautiful settings in the world, they were quite obviously deeply in love and there was no photographer! Nobody to create a record of this unforgettable moment in their lives. So I stepped in, offered my services and spent a very short time taking some photos for them. It was rushed, it was last minute and it was unplanned but I’m so glad I did it. It made me happy and I hope it made them happy too. I feel such a connection with this gorgeous location and hopefully one day I’ll get to shoot a full wedding day in Santorini. It would be the perfect excuse to return to one of my most favourite places in the world!
